Primary School
- Years: Prep to Year 6/7
- Age: From approximately 6 years
- Curriculum: Language, Math, Science, Arts, PE
Secondary School
- Junior: Year 7-10 (from ~13 years)
- Senior: Year 11-12 (University prep)
- Certificates: VCE(VIC), HSC(NSW), QCE(QLD)

Public Schools
Managed by state education departments, lower fees
Private Schools
Independently operated, rich resources, higher fees
Important Notes
- Students under 18 must have a legal guardian arranged
- Students with weak English can take ELICOS courses first
- AEAS test is the standard entry exam for many private schools
- Start date: Late January or early February, 4 terms per year
University - Undergraduate
Academic Requirements
Complete Year 12 in China with required academic grades; or complete Foundation/Diploma courses.
Language Requirements
Usually requires IELTS 6.5 overall, no band less than 6.0
Some programs like Education, Nursing, Law require higher (IELTS 7.0+)
